Export Control Regulations & Resources
|
Oklahoma State University is committed
to complying with all export control laws
and regulations. OSU and the United States
are committed to encourage technology exchange
throughout the world that is consistent
with national security and nuclear nonproliferation
objectives. Export control regulations are
not new. The Export Administration Regulations
(EAR), the International Traffic in Arms
Regulations (ITAR), and the Treasury Department's
Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC)
are the primary regulations governing export
control. Most of the research and technology
development done at OSU is exempt from US
export control regulations. However, we
must still comply with the laws and regulations.
It is each person's responsibility to be
aware of how their role at the university
may interact and/or be impacted by export
control laws and regulations.
The Office of University Research Services
is here to assist you with understanding
the various export control laws and regulations
and how they relate to you. Our goal is
to provide you with the information and
resources necessary for all of us to be
in compliance. We hope we are doing that
via this site. However, at anytime, you
are welcome to contact Jada Bruner Gailey,
Director, University Research Services,
with questions and comments. You can reach
her via e-mail at: jada.gailey@okstate.edu
or via phone at: 405.744.9995.
