ABIE Program
ABIE was a project under the auspices of the Department of Defense and the Space Vector Corporation of Los Angeles. The purpose of the experiment was to develop a "signature" profile of a rocket motor during the burn phase. Various sensors, from IR to UV, were used in detecting the "signature." The Electronics Research and Development Laboratory (ERDL) provided telemetry and launch support for the project.
